Bawley Point and Kioloa Microgrid
We're creating a smarter, more resilient solution to keep power on during outages and enhance the use of local solar energy.

Powering NSW’s first community microgrid
We’re building a smarter, more resilient energy future - starting with NSW’s first community microgrid.
Located on the South Coast, this initiative connects around 100 homes to subsidised solar and battery systems to a 3-megawatt grid battery. Together, they form a local energy network that keeps power flowing during bushfires, storms and peak demand.
Funded by Endeavour Energy and the NSW Government's Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Fund, the microgrid enables Bawley Point and Kioloa to maintain power during outages and to operate independently, by boosting network and community resilience.
It’s a bold step towards cleaner, more reliable power for regional communities.
