If you're moving into a newly built home, you'll need to contact us for a new connection through our Connections Portal. If you're moving into a previously occupied home, contact your retailer.
Connecting your home
Whether you’re building or adding a solar system or battery, we can help you get connected to power your home.
Connecting to our network has never been easier, here's what you need to do to get started.
If you’re building a new home or making improvements to your existing home, we can assist with connecting or upgrading your electricity.

Restoring power after a disconnection including floods
If your power was disconnected by an electricity retailer, contact them first. If Endeavour Energy disconnected your property for safety, maintenance or upgrades, we can help you reconnect.
If your home or business has been impacted by a flood, we can help you through the reconnection process. Our team will inspect your home and meter box to guide you through the steps to safely restore your electricity.
Follow these simple steps to organise your power connection. Endeavour Energy approves the connection so your energy retailer can complete the setup and connect you.
Your connection may be new, existing, temporary, an installation, a reconnection or an upgrade.
Speak with a licensed electrician or an Accredited Service Provider (ASP) who can help with your application.
Your electrician or Accredited Service Provider will usually submit the connection request, through our Connections Portal on your behalf.
Most requests in urban areas are approved automatically. Requests in rural areas may need review by our team before it is approved.
Timelines may depend on your project and how quickly we can access your site.

Your responsibilities
When you request a new or upgraded electricity connection, we’ll take care of the poles, wires and network - right up to your property’s connection point. However, some aspects of the connection will be your responsibility.
Here’s what you need to manage:
- Making sure your site is safe and accessible for our crews
- Hiring a licensed electrician or ASP
- Providing correct site information, approvals and plans
- Keeping private poles and service lines in good condition (if you have them)
Select a service to find detailed steps, safety requirements and support to help get your home connected. Whether you’re connecting power for the first time or maintaining private poles, we can help guide you through it.
